Gully cricket is an form of cricket game from India and their adjacent countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri-Lanka. This game of cricket is played in small lanes or street sides known as 'gully' in Hindi (the language used in India ), and thus named as 'gully cricket' or we called it simply 'Bat Ball'. The interesting thing about this game is anyone can play this, there's no age limit of it. The pitch is made with the help of bricks one upon the other (8-10 bricks is appropriate). However, there are some unofficial rules to play which are used most of the time are as follows:
1. The team who win the match choose what they want to do in the next match, either bowling or batting.
2. The player who opened up in batting didn't bowl the first over.
3. The First Ball rule: a player cannot be given out on the first ball he faces. This rule is especially applied to those with little cricketing skill.
4. One Tip Out - If the batsman has hit the ball into the ground, but it has only bounced once, they can still be given out caught, but only if the fielder catches the ball with one hand
5. If the player hit it over the fence, then he is out and he have to get the ball.
6. 'Bhatta Pace' not allowed.
7. If the bowl went up to anyone home or terrace, then he is out too.
8. One player of the batting side have to umpire the match.
9. If there is an extra player want to play then he become 'Beech Ka Bicchoo'. He just have to wicket-keeping in both the innings and he batted in the last.
10. If any of the player left between the match then one of his team player can bat from his side.
